Minimalism & Astrology
The hot trending topic these days is Minimalism. In simple terms, Minimalism is all about keeping the stuff, that is of use to you and discarding the stuff which is not of use to you. The message of minimalism is all about owning less stuff. Life is all about Balance. You really need to figure out what is important for you and what is not.
Rarely does anyone talk about this or hardly does one consider this to be a cause for concern but being a student of Vastu & Astrology, i truly believe that these two concepts are connected somewhere. It is believed that a space full of clutter is just incapable of inviting peace and prosperity.
I was impacted by many articles that i have read on minimalism and it has inspired me to remove distractions and to focus on the things that matter to me.
Clutter comes in many forms. It can be emotional clutter, where in we are not able to dispose our kids first T-shirts, their first toys their books, or it can even be clothes that we no longer fit in! or it can be things, that we think we will use some day, but that some day will just not come!
Actually every object on this earth emits energy and vibrations and belongs to one of the 5 elements( Water, Air, Fire, Earth & Sky), but when that object is not being used for a long time. It by default becomes Earth Element and starts blocking the energy of the direction it is kept in.
So the moment you discard or dispose that ununsed Object, you create space for positive energy.
Practical Case :
I remember a case where i did Vastu for a client who was facing some issues and on observing his premises I found that he had a few cement bags, a few pieces of wooden board leftovers, stored inside a room for 3 years, when he got his home renovated. Upon asking, why did he stored them? He replied, ” Ab bach gaya tha, Kya Kartey, Kabhi toh kaam aa jayega. Pehle ek do baar socha hai hata dun, bus fir dimaag se reh jaata hai.” It was more than 3 years and the stuff wasn’t use.
I simply requested him to remove everything. Within a few weeks after the removal, got to know that his problem was relieved to a great extent. This was one of the few cases where I personally experienced, the result of Decluttering. There are many such cases.
There was one more incident when we got shifted to a new house and my mom said,
“Yahan Gallery men kaafi achi space hai, Soch rahi hun ek Almari banwa lun”and right away i told her “Almari ban gayi toh samajh lena aur koodha ikhhata ho jayega”, because Less the storage space, means Less clutter.
People have no idea that simplicity is such a beautiful thing. Minimalism is not about rigid rules. But it is about making choices to remove what isn’t important or isn’t working for you in order to atleast make room, time, energy, for what is important.
When Diwali is round the corner, we do some de-cluttering. Can’t we make it a lifestyle? Can’t we practice this throughout the Year?
You might be thinking whether minimalism will help?
The answer to this is simple: Start taking baby steps like decluttering your wardrobe, your shoe rack, discarding those medicines whose expiry date has passed a long ago but got unnoticed and experience the difference yourself. Don’t rush, try and declutter in small layers, allowing yourself to build both momentum and confidence.
Stop buying things just for the sake of buying, think evaluate whether you really need that thing and also check if you have space for it. Definitely you may buy something new as a replacement for an old thing.
Always Remember that a clutterfree space reflects high energy, resonates clarity, boosts physical and mental well being and it can really change things for You.
If you don’t need something, give it away to someone who needs it. They will thank you for it and you will have one less thing to worry about.
I will end this article with a quote which will help you to think: “The less you own, the less that owns you”
